Expressive oil portrait representing Rayne Ethetton’s portrait work

About the artist

Rayne Ethetton

Capturing the light, color and reflection is just plain fun. As a landscape painter, it is always the reflective light that I remember most about any location especially water.

The elusive quality of light and reflection can transform a figure or a landscape in just a matter of seconds. I strive to convey that sense of place by capturing its fleeting magic.

“I believe a leaf of grass is no less than the journey-work of the stars.”

Walt Whitman · Song of Myself
